Leading Change and Transition


DCW offers a number of public workshops and seminars focused on leadership development, human resource compliance training and fundamentals of supervision open to the general public.  Our leadership development workshops move beyond the basics into building the critical skills needed by the workforce.   Our classes are experiential, and include case studies, role plays and action planning.  Participants leave with skills they can practically apply! 

 

The state of Indiana requires that individuals delivering workplace harassment training have specific experience in that area.  Our compliance training is delivered by trainers who have specific experience in Workplace Harassment, Diversity and Inclusion and Adult Bullying.  Our Fundamentals of Supervision series includes critical topics, such as:  Building Relationships That Last, Delegation, Time Management, and Conversations That Matter.
 

WORKSHOPS   
        
    The Leader Within - Provides a variety of in-depth self-awareness tools and activities
    to tap into leadership potential and gain insights into personal and leadership strengths.
    Participants learn strategies for continuous development through behavioral profiles,
    assessments, group discussions, self-reflection and small-group activities.
    2 Days
     
   
Building Cultural Competence - A highly interactive session designed to build skills
    and immerse leaders in activities to successfully lead in a multi-cultural workforce.
    Participants engage in role-plays, small group dialogue and simulations.  The class
    illustrates inclusive and exclusive behaviors in the workplace.
    1 Day

    Fundamentals of Leadership - Teaches the three essential dynamics of leadership:
    how to build and foster sound relationships, how to use power (your role as leader) and
    the three R's of leadership:  Relationships, Resources, and Results.  Participants explore
    their own leadership styles, and build leadership and key skills needed to lead high 
    performing work teams.   
    2 Days

    Leading Change and Transition - Leaders learn to lead through transition and
    manage change.  Leaders compare and contrast change management and transition
    management.  Participants develop and execute an effective transition management plan,
    and implement strategies for leading their teams through the neutral zone.
